Once you and your passengers are in a safe position, call us with the vehicle registration, location and symptoms. We can decide whether mobile assistance or recovery is the appropriate response.
What should you tell us?
Describe what happened immediately before the vehicle stopped: warning lights, noises, loss of power, overheating, a flat tyre, non-starting or anything else you noticed. You do not need to diagnose the fault yourself.
Roadside help or recovery?
Some problems can be assessed or dealt with at the vehicle. Others require workshop equipment, parts or a controlled working environment. If continuing the journey would be unsafe or impractical, recovery is the sensible next step.
If you are in a live traffic lane, a dangerous position or there is a collision with an immediate risk to people, contact the appropriate emergency or road authority service first.
